Dr. Steve Perry, Founder and Head of Schools

As one of the few African-American leaders in school management organizations, Dr. Perry is deeply committed to transforming historically disadvantaged communities. Born into his family’s third generation of poverty on his mother’s 16th birthday, he firmly believes that success is determined by where you end, not where you start.This philosophy drives his mission to provide poor and minority children with access to a college education, fundamentally changing their life trajectories.

Dr. Perry holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of Hartford, a Master's in Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor's in Arts from the University of Rhode Island.
